Noel Sales Barcelona wears many hats: He is a freelance journalist and an independent researcher. He writes poems, essays, and short stories, which has brought him some recognitions and commendations. He is a cultural worker and former social activist during his college years. He's a development worker, working with various NGOs and even established a newspaper for a labor NGO where he worked.
